Bentley Places Seven on NE-10 Men’s Tennis All-Conference Teams

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University placed a conference high seven players on the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis All-Conference teams, the league revealed in an announcement Wednesday morning. Junior Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) was named second team All-Conference in first-flight singles.

Joining Wever on the All-Conference teams in singles are seniors Zach Tuckman (Kinnelon, N.J./Morristown Beard School) and Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal), junior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) and sophomores Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial).  Freshman Raghav Tanna (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) was chosen to the All-Rookie team.

Spycher and Waddington were named first team All-Conference in the fifth and sixth-flights, respectively. They both went 5-0 in their flights in conference matches.

Wever, who went 8-1 in the first-flight, is joined on the second team by Ribeiro, who compiled a 7-1 mark in the third-flight.

Tuckman earned a selection to the third team by going 6-2 in the second-flight. Rindo posted a 5-2 record to make the third team in fourth-flight singles.

Tanna went 8-3 in NE-10 doubles matches, playing mostly with Spycher this spring in second-flight doubles.

The seven helped Bentley go 10-1 in the NE-10 this season and earn the second-seed and a bye to the semifinals in the NE-10 playoffs. They'll host third-seeded Southern New Hampshire on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
