Men’s Tennis Sweeps AIC 9-0
WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's tennis team ran its Northeast-10 record to 5-0 with a 9-0 sweep of AIC on Tuesday afternoon.
Bentley won both of the doubles matches played. Senior Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal) and freshman Raghav Tanna (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) beat James Worrall and Nick Lyon in the top-flight, 8-1. Junior Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) and sophomore Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) bested Jason Popek and Chandler Long in the second-flight, 8-0.
In singles, senior Victor Suski (West Hartford, Conn./William Hall) defeated Worrall in the top-flight, 7-6, 7-6. Freshmen Alex DeMuth (Shaker Heights, Ohio/University School), Peter Koopman (Whitinsville, Mass./Whitinsville Christian) and Shawn Lefkowitz (Wayne, N.Y./Wayne Hills) won the second-fourth flight matches.
Bentley is back in action on Friday at home against Stonehill.
