CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomores Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) and Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) each won singles matches, but it wasn't enough as Bentley fell to MIT 7-2 on Friday in non-conference men's tennis.
The loss is just the first of the season for the Falcons, who were on a six-match winning streak to begin the season. Their record goes to 6-1, while MIT improves to 3-2.
Rindo knocked off junior Larry Pang in No. 4 singles, 7-6, 6-2, and Waddington beat junior Andrew Cooper in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 7-6 (4).
The Falcons are back in action on March 11 for the start of their spring break trip against Eckerd.
