Bentley Sweeps Endicott in Spring Opener

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team opened its spring season Wednesday with a 9-0 non-conference win over Endicott.

Five players, Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial), Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell), Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal) and Victor Suski (West Hartford, Conn./William Hall) all won in singles and doubles.

Among the highlights of the singles matches were Ribeiro beating Olivier Joggi 6-2, 6-0 in the first-flight, Spycher blanking Jake Cohen 6-0, 6-0 in the fourth-flight, and freshman Shawn Lefkowitz (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) winning his first singles match 8-0 over Tim Forance.

Bentley improves to 5-0 on the season, while Endicott drops to 1-3. Bentley is back in action Saturday at Babson.
