PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) of the Bentley University men's tennis team is in the semifinals of the "B" singles tournament at the ITA East Regionals in Philadelphia. He will play Peter Golijanin of Merrimack on Monday.

Ribeiro, seeded fifth, has won three matches over the first two days of the tournament to reach this point. After receiving a bye in the first round, he defeated Chris Toegemann of Merrimack 8-3 in the second round, Brett Armstrong of Stonehill 8-2 in the round of 16 and Julian Marcon of NYIT 8-2 in the quarterfinals.

On the other side of the bracket, Pedro Piexoto of NYIT and Manoil Sgouros of Philadelphia University will meet in the second semifinal.

Four other Falcons won early round matches to advance, with sophomore Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) going the furthest to the round of 16 with a second round win over Danny Bonamassa of Philadelphia, 8-0.
