WALTHAM, Mass. – Leighton Wielgoszinski won three events to help lead a strong Bentley team effort in a 121-79 victory over Roger Williams at the Dana Center on Thursday night.

The Falcons improved to 8-1 on the season in the first of three meets they have at home over the next week.

The 400 medley relay team began the meet with the win in a time of 3:35.96. Danny Lehr led off, followed by Kenneth Ryu, Joey Twomey and Carter Ferrara swam the anchor.

Wielgoszinski then won the first of his three races on the night in the 1000 free, in a time of 10:08.47.

The Falcons went 1-2 in the 200 free, won by Daniel Ivanchikov (1:49.35) and followed by Patrick Tarka in second (1:50.33).

Lehr won the 50 free and it could not have been any closer. His time of 22.13 just beat out RWU's Blake Anderson by one one-hundredth of a second. The top-five finishers, including Wellington Chen and Jakub Zukowski, were all within 67 one-hundredth of a second of Lehr's winning time.

Ferrara and Zukowski claimed the top-two spots in the 100 free, with Ferrara's time of 48.76 had him touching first.

The 200 back saw Falcons finish 1-2-3, led by Matt Walden in first with 2:00.50 and followed by Griffin Keliher and Eddy Erofeyev.

Wielgoszinski's third victory of the meet was in the 500 free, with a time of 4:54.45.

The diving events were swept by sophomore Owen Angkatavanich.

The Falcons will now turn their attention to Sunday's Senior Day meet when they host Babson at 1:00 PM.
