Swimming and Diving Ready for Assumption on Sunday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley swimming and diving teams welcome in Assumption to the Dana Center pool on Sunday. The meet gets underway at 1:00 PM.

The men's team has gotten off to a 2-0 start with wins over Wheaton (161-110) and Saint Rose (124-103) to increase its winning streak to 22.

Freshman John Zhang has made an impressive start to his Falcons career. He won the 100 fly and 100 breast stroke against the Golden Knights. That was after he took the 100 and 200 breast stroke and 200 IM in the season opener.

Bentley did well in the freestyle events last weekend. Junior Kai West was first in the 1000 and freshman Daniel Ivanchikov was first in the 500. The 400 free relay team then closed the meet with a win, with the team consisting of Carter Ferrara as the opener, followed by Ivanchikov in the second leg, Danny Lehr the third leg and Andrew Matjucha the anchor.

After Sunday, Bentley won't have another home meet until mid-January. Up next they head to Brandeis (Nov. 10) and Keene State (Nov. 18), followed by the WPI Gompei Invitational from Dec. 1-3.
