Bentley Men Stay Unbeaten with 18th Consecutive Dual Win

BABSON PARK, Mass. – Sophomore Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) and senior Ryan Looney (Wilton, Conn./Wilton HS) each won two individual races and participated on the Falcons' winning 200 yard medley relay team as Bentley University defeated Babson College, 132-99, in men's college swimming Tuesday night at Babson's Morse Pool.

Bentley, 8-0, stayed unbeaten in dual competition this season by capturing 11 of 13 events. Dating back to January 2020, it was the Falcons' 18th consecutive dual win.

Ye's winning performances came in the 200 individual medley (1:58.95) and the 100 backstroke (53.87), and Looney was first in both the 50 freestyle (21.63) and the 100 free (48.31). In the 50, he touched just a hundredth of a second before Babson's Pat Anutarasoti.

Ye and Looney also coupled with sophomore Kenneth Ryu (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola HS) and Northeast-10 Men's Swimmer of the Week Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) for a winning time of 1:37.47 in the 200 medley relay.

Double-winners for the Falcons also included graduate diver Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) and junior Andrew Matjucha (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS). Glick, the reigning NE10 Men's Diver of the Week, scored 271.05 points from the one-meter board and 223.35 from the three-meter. Matjucha completed the 1000 free in 10:07.83 and the 500 free in 4:53.19.

Bentley's other first-place finishes were achieved by Ryu in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.14) and Vizental in the 200 free (1:45.78).

Bentley will hold Senior Day on Sunday with a home meet against Pace University.
