Bentley Men Stay Unbeaten in the Pool, 191-103 at Pace

PLEASANTVILLE , N.Y. – Seniors Oscar Chang (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills HS West) and Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS), along with junior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS), each won two individual events and participated on winning relays as the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team posted a 191-103 victory over Pace University Saturday at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

Bentley, competing for the first time in six weeks, remained unbeaten in six dual meets this season and improved to 48-1 since January 2016.

Chang, Vizental and Papsco opened the meet by teaming with senior Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./ Bishop Guertin HS) to swim the 200 yard medley relay in 1:38.14, good for a winning margin of 5.36 seconds.

Vizental was the first to the wall in the 200 freestyle (1:46.77) and the 500 free (4:52.96) while Chang earned wins in the 100 butterfly (53.94) and the 100 backstroke (55.03). Vizental was also part of the Falcons' 200 free relay that won in 1:34.73.

Papsco swam the fastest 50 breaststroke time of the year by a Northeast-10 Conference student-athlete (27.79) and also captured the 100 individual medley (55.89).

Another double-winner for Bentley was freshman Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS). He recorded first-place finishes in both the 50 backstroke (25.92) and the 50 butterfly (24.88).

The other individual winners for Bentley were Zoda in the 100 free (48.31), sophomore Andrew Matjucha (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) in the 1650 freestyle (17:36.37), freshman Marshall Wilson (Beverly Hills, Fla./Crystal Ranch HS) in the 50 free (23.14) and junior Tanner Eisenhut (Jamesville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius HS) in the 100 breast (1:02.39).

Monday's scheduled meet at Babson College has been cancelled. The next scheduled meet is Jan. 25 at home against Bridgewater State.
