Four Bentley Swimmers and Divers Earn Scholar All-America Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Four members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams, including recent graduates Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) and Dan Sausto (Slingerlands, N.Y./The Doane Stuart School), have received CSCAA Scholar All-America second team recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.

The other two honorees were rising junior Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and rising sophomore Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS).

Requirements for the second team are a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and achieving a "B" time standard or participating in a diving qualification meet.

Sausto, a finance major who minored in both law and international affairs, is a five-time Northeast-10 champion. At this year's championships, he swam to victory in the 1650 yard freestyle during his career and also earned gold in the 1000 free.

Zoda, an accountancy major, earned five Northeast-10 gold medals for the second straight year with his victories both seasons coming in the 200 free, the 100 free and three relays. He owns school records in both the 50 and 100 free, as well as all five relays. Zoda was previously recognized with CoSIDA Men's At-Large Academic All-District 1 and Academic All-Northeast-10 honors.

Logozzo, a finance major who previously was voted to the Academic All-Northeast-10 women's swimming and diving team, was the runner-up in both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions back in February. During her career, she medaled seven times in eight competitions and was the 2017 NE10 one-meter champion.

Gonzales, who has not yet selected a major, made five trips to the awards podium during her first NE10 championship meet. She picked up a gold in the 800 free relay, a silver in the 400 free relay and three bronze medals, including in the 200 breaststroke.
