Red Hot Men’s Soccer Visits Southern Connecticut Tuesday Night

WALTHAM, Mass. – Unbeaten in its last six matches and winners of three straight, men's soccer visits Southern Connecticut on Tuesday night for the final match of the regular season.

 

Scorching

Saturday's 1-0 victory at Assumption was Bentley's third straight and extended the unbeaten streak to six at 5-0-1. That has rocketed the Falcons up the NE10 standings to second place with 17 points and a 5-2-2 record.

Bentley has clinched a home game in the NE10 Championship quarterfinals on Saturday. They will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed. They lead Adelphi by two points but the Panthers have the head-to-head tiebreaker.

 

Santos Doubles Up

Midfielder Antonio Santos was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Monday for the second straight week. He combined for two goals and one assist in wins over Saint Rose and Assumption. He had a hand in both goals against the Golden Knights with a goal in the 9th minute and an assist on the winner in the 80th minute. Santos then scored the only goal in the 7th minute in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Assumption.

 

Levine On a Streak

Graduate student midfielder Evan Levine has a four-game scoring streak going. He's notched 10 points in the last four games on four goals and two assists.

 

Haikal Leads in Assists

Sophomore Michael Haikal is tied for the NE10 lead in assists with six. Senior Lukas Drahos is right behind with five helpers on the season.
