Men’s Soccer Preps for Regular Season Home Finale on Wednesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley hosts Saint Rose on Wednesday afternoon for its regular season home finale and there is a lot at stake. The teams will enter the match tied for fourth in the NE10 standings.

 

Playoff Picture

Both teams have 11 points in the standings but the Falcons have a game in-hand. The top four teams host a first round playoff game on Saturday, Nov. 4. Southern New Hampshire is right behind with 10 points and three games remaining. Bentley has the head-to-head tiebreaker over SNHU thanks to its 1-0 win on Oct. 14.

After Wednesday's game, Bentley visits Assumption on Saturday and Southern Connecticut on Oct. 31 to close out the regular season.

 

Santos The Top Rookie

Midfielder Antonio Santos was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Monday. He had a goal and two assists in the 6-3 win over New Haven.

Graduate student Evan Levine and junior Luke Hanchar were selected to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll. Levine matched his career-high with five points on Saturday, with two goals and one assist. Hanchar scored in the 2-2 tie at AIC on Oct. 18 and played all 90 minutes in both games.

 

On a Good Run

The Falcons are 3-0-1 in their last four matches. The streak began with a 4-0 road win over Saint Anselm on Oct. 7. That's the longest unbeaten streak in the NE10 besides No. 1 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce.
