Drahos Scores Two But Bentley Falls to No. 1 Franklin Pierce 5-2

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Lukas Drahos scored two goals but Bentley fell to No. 1 ranked Franklin Pierce 5-2 in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ravens, the defending Division II national champions, improved to 7-0 on the season.

FPU's Younes Addar Khanoussi scored a hat trick in the first 22 minutes of the match but Bentley played well and held its own against the Ravens.

Khanoussi scored his first in the 11th minute, but just 14 seconds later Drahos scored to level the match.

Off the ensuing kickoff Luke Hanchar played a long ball from Bentley's end down towards the Falcon's attacking end. Johann Fraser gained control and played a quick pass to Drahos, who dribbled around an FPU defender and beat keeper Diego Casillas with a low shot to the far post.

Khanoussi scored his second goal in the 19th minute and his third in the 22nd minute for a 3-1 Ravens lead.

But in the second half Drahos pulled Bentley to within 3-2 when he headed in a corner kick from Chad Meyers in the 57th minute.

Bentley then had a chance to tie in the 63rd minute when a nice attacking move down the pitch and quick passes by Drahos and Fraser led to a scoring chance for Zach Spitznagle but his shot went just wide of the far post.

FPU capitalized later on with a goal by Tiago Barriguinha in the 78th minute and another by Aitor Retuerto in the 90th minute.

The goals for Drahos were his second and third of the season and his second career multi goal game.
