Men’s Soccer Hosts Franklin Pierce Tuesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Men's soccer is back at home on Tuesday to face Franklin Pierce for the second time in three matches. This will be a non-conference encounter and Bentley's only match of the week.

 

Last time out

The Falcons are coming off a 0-0 draw at home against Saint Michael's on Saturday night. Goalkeepers Nick Maldarella and Joe Griffin combined for the clean sheet. Bentley outshot the Purple Knights 9-7 and had the best scoring chance of the game off a corner kick when a shot by Luke Mollenhauer went just over the cross bar.

 

Griffin is up there

Goalkeeper Joe Griffin ranks 5th in the NE10 in fewest goals allowed at five.

 

Team leaders

Through six games of the season, sophomore Alexander Pasiakos leads the team in minutes played at 481. Johann Fraser leads the squad with 12 shots and Chad Meyers leads with four points.

Franklin Pierce is off to a 6-0 start this season and is ranked No. 1 in Division II by the United Soccer Coaches.
