Bomfim Named NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week for Second Time

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Eduardo Bomfim (Salvador, Brazil) was named the Northeast-10 Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday.

It's the second time this season he has been named Goalkeeper of the Week. The first time was on Oct. 3.

Bomfim made 15 saves combined in Bentley's two matches last week where the Falcons had a 1-1 record.

He made nine stops and had an .818 save percentage at Saint Rose on Oct. 19. That was one short of his season-high of 10 saves, which came in a 1-0 win at New Haven on Oct. 15.

Bomfim then made six saves in the Falcons' 5-2 victory over Assumption on Saturday, a day in which the program celebrated its 50th anniversary.

On the season, he ranks second in the NE10 in total saves with 75. He ranks third in save percentage at .781.

Also on Monday senior midfielder Evan Levine was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll. He had two goals and one assist in Saturday's win.

The Falcons will go into the final day of the regular season on Tuesday in a tie for 7th place in the standings. The top eight teams in the standings qualify for the postseason. They play Southern Connecticut at home at 3:00 pm.
