WALTHAM, Mass. – Visiting New Haven secured a 4-0 victory over the Bentley men's soccer team on the final day of the regular season.
The Chargers improved their record to 8-5-2 overall and 5-5-2 overall.
New Haven scored each of its goals in the first half. Freshman forward Pau Santanach (Barcelona, Spain), who came into the match leading the NE10 in both goals and points, had a hand in three of the goals.
He laid on assists for the first two goals in the 10th and 20th minutes, then scored his 16th goal of the season in the 42nd minute. Santanach finished the regular season leading the NE10 with 36 points.
Bentley goalkeeper Joe Griffin (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) made three saves in his first appearance of the season.
