Bridge & Cirasola Named 2013 Men's Soccer Captains

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Jordan Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) and Justin Cirasola (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) will serve as the Bentley University men's soccer team's captains for the 2013 season.

Both Bridge and Cirasola have been standout players for head coach Gary Crompton during their three previous seasons, and have helped the Falcons reach the Northeast-10 playoffs each year, in addition to top-four regular season finishes in 2010 and 2012.

Bridge, who plays back, has started all 35 matches for Bentley over the last two seasons and has missed just one match in his career. With the graduation of standout center-back Weston Zeiner, Bridge assumes leadership of Bentley's backline as the group's most experienced player. Bridge also has the ability to get forward and has seven points in his career.

Cirasola has been one of Bentley's top offensive threats over the last two seasons from his midfield position. The Long Island native scored two goals and had two assists last season, and the Falcons were 3-0-1 when he got on the score sheet. As a sophomore in 2011, he also accounted for two goals and two assists as well. Cirasola has appeared in 48 games during his career with 17 starts. He played in 16 matches last season and started four.

The Falcons went 10-5-2 overall last season and 8-3-2 in the NE-10 for a fourth-place finish. They open the 2013 campaign on the road against New York Tech on Sept. 7. They open at home one week later against Southern Connecticut State Sept. 14.
