MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley trailed 10-4 after the first quarter at Southern New Hampshire, but outscored the Penmen 15-5 over the remainder of the game for a 19-15 victory on Sunday.
Bentley outscored them 5-1 in the second quarter, 6-2 in the third quarter and 4-2 in the final quarter.
The Falcons improved to 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the NE10 with the win.
Trailing 11-5 in the 2nd quarter, they went on a 4-0 run over the final 3:36 to cut the deficit to 11-9 at halftime.
The run extended to 7-0 with three goals early in the third quarter to take a 12-11 lead.
Will Adams had the seventh goal of the run, as part of a career-high four goal and eight-point afternoon.
SNHU broke the run with a goal at the 6:05 mark, but Bentley responded with a 3-0 run with goals by Brady Glass, David Gagnon and Adams to take a 15-12 lead.
The Penmen pulled to within 16-15 after a goal at the 12:33 mark of the fourth quarter, but that was the final goal Bentley allowed.
Garrett Witt scored at 10:59 and Nicholas Thorn-Guillaro scored the final two goals of the afternoon.
Those were two of Thorn-Guillaro's game-high five goals, a career-high for him.
Cam Bartolomeo had 10 ground balls from the faceoff circle for the Falcons.
Bentley's next game is April 20 at home against Assumption for Senior Day.
