Piersiak Earns Second NE10 Defensive Player of the Week Award

WALTHAM, Mass. – Kyle Piersiak was named the Northeast 10 Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for the second time this season.

Piersiak had another impactful week for the Falcons with five caused turnovers and nine ground balls in two games.

Against nationally ranked Pace on April 3 he had four caused turnovers and seven ground balls. That was his fourth game this season with at least three caused turnovers.

In Saturday's win over Franklin Pierce he notched another caused turnover and two ground balls and helped the Falcons defense hold the Ravens to just two goals.

He ranks tied for fifth nationally in caused turnovers per game (3.00).

Piersiak was previously the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week on March 18.

Also on Monday, Eddie Gigliotti was voted to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll. He led the Falcons with eight points (2 goals, 6 assists) in the two games.

The Falcons are ranked 14th in this week's USILA poll. They visit Saint Michael's on Tuesday night.
