WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman long stick midfielder Alex Parton (Victor, N.Y./Victor) of the Bentley University men's lacrosse team was named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Parton had a big hand in Bentley's defensive effort in the team's 18-5 road victory over Saint Rose on Saturday. He collected eight ground balls and caused three turnovers, both game highs.

Through four games this season, Parton leads the Falcons with 13 caused turnovers and 23 ground balls.

In the NE10 he's tied for first in caused turnovers.

The Falcons, ranked 17th in last week's USILA Division II poll, are 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the NE10. They are next in action on Saturday when they host Franklin Pierce at 1:00 PM.
