Jaber Named NE10 Player of the Week
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Luke Jaber (Milton, Mass./BC High) was named the Northeast 10 Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week on Monday.
Jaber had a career high six goals to help the Falcons to a 17-11 victory over Saint Michael's on Sunday in the team's NE10 opener.
Jaber scored three goals in the second quarter as the Falcons built a 9-7 halftime lead. He then scored Bentley's only two goals of the third quarter as they led 11-8 going into the final quarter. The attacker then added his sixth goal of the day with 6:57 remaining in the fourth to put Bentley ahead 15-10.
The Falcons, 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the NE10, moved up one spot in this week's USILA/Dynamic Division II poll to 17th.
The team's next game is the home opener, on Saturday at 12:00 against No. 6 ranked Mercy.
