Bentley Wins 3rd Straight Game with 15-6 Victory over Saint Michael’s

Waltham, Mass. – The Bentley men's lacrosse team won its 3rd straight game on Saturday with a 15-6 victory over Saint Michael's.

Joey Tesoriero (Huntington Station, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills), Ben Baldasaro (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) and Ryan Birch (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) each scored three goals to lead the offensive effort. While defensively, junior goalie Keaton Roarick (Old Saybrook, Conn./Old Saybrook) made 15 saves to earn the win. Senior Nick Colstad (Hampton Falls, N.H./Governor's Academy) had a game high four caused turnovers.

Senior Connor Baughan (Foxborough, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey) had four ground balls and a goal scored, and freshman Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) won nine faceoffs and had six ground balls in addition to a goal off a faceoff in the 4th quarter.

Bentley led 4-0 after the first quarter on the back of four different goal scorers.

Ahead 8-3 after halftime, Saint Michael's cut into the lead with a goal at the 11:16 mark of the 3rd quarter. But Bentley proceeded to go on a 3-0 run. That included a man-down goal by Baughan, and goals by Baldasaro and Birch, for his 3rd goal of the afternoon.

That run gave Bentley an 11-4 lead with 6:37 left in the 3rd quarter.

Saint Michael's scored the final two goals of the quarter to make it 11-6 going into the 4th.

But Bentley finished strong and outscored the Knights 4-0 in the final 15 minutes. Tesoriero and Baldasaro each scored man-up goals in the quarter.

The Falcons improved to 3-2 on the season with the win. They will next be in action on Wednesday night when they host Southern New Hampshire.
