Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University senior midfielder Matt Brooks (Brunswick, Maine/Phillips Exeter) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor for men's lacrosse on Tuesday for his performance in Bentley's game at Mercy on March 10.

Brooks had four assists, all in the second half, as the Falcons rallied from a 7-3 halftime deficit to force overtime at the No. 8 ranked Mavericks.

Brooks assisted on goals by Ben Baldasaro (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) and Walker Gautier (South Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) in the 3^rd quarter, and Baldasaro and Michael Fricke (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor) in the 4^th quarter. The goal by Fricke was the 3^rd goal of a 4-0 run by Bentley which tied the game 10-10 with 12:22 left in the 4^th quarter.

Mercy scored with 4:27 left in the 4^th quarter to take the lead 11-10, but junior Connor Baughan (Foxborough, Mass./Portsmouth) tied it again for the Falcons with 1:20 left, before Mercy went on to win in overtime.

Brooks had three goals and seven assists in the three games Bentley played so far in 2020.

He has 53 goals and 28 assists for 81 points in 42 career games.
