Waltham, Mass. – Seniors Matt Brooks (Brunswick, Maine/Phillips Exeter), Michael Haggan (Braintree, Mass./BC High) and Michael Fricke (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor) will be the captains of the Bentley men's lacrosse team this season.

Brooks, a midfielder, has 50 career goals and 21 assists for 71 points in his three previous seasons at Bentley. He was recently named to the preseason NEILA All-New England team, and is coming off a 2019 season that saw him finish second on the team in both goals (22) and points (31). Those numbers earned him both third team NE10 All-Conference and first team All-New England selections.

Haggan was a second team NE10 All-Conference selection a year ago and was also named first team NEILA All-New England. In 12 starts in 2019 he posted a 57.4 save percentage, second best in the NE10, and a 10.44 goals against average which was the fifth best mark in the NE10. He was the NE10 Goalie of the Week on April 19.

Fricke has played in 33 games in his three seasons at Bentley. Last season he scored a career high 10 goals, including two goals each in Falcons wins over Franklin Pierce and Saint Michael's. Fricke also suited up for Team USA at the 2018 World Junior Lacrosse Championships.

The Falcons get their season started on Saturday when they host NE10 rival Le Moyne at 11:00 am.
