CSC Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Team Includes 4 Bentley Falcons

WALTHAM, Mass. – The 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large teams include four Bentley University Falcons, representing the hockey, lacrosse and golf teams.

Hockey's Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ont.), a senior forward during the 2022-23 season, represented Bentley on the Division I Academic All-District team while the Division II team included sophomore golfer Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) and lacrosse players Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield HS) and Garrett Witt (Frederick, Md./Oakdale HS).

Vanroboys played in 111 games in four seasons at Bentley. A center who was one of the team's best penalty killers during his career, he set career highs this season with 16 assists and 20 points.

Vanroboys majored in economics-finance, with minors in entrepreneurship and marketing. He earned two straight All-America Scholar honors from the American Hockey Coaches Association and three straight Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team recognitions.

Alviti and Witt, both sophomore midfielders, helped the men's lacrosse team to a stellar season that featured the program's first NCAA Division II tournament bid and an appearance in the Northeast-10 finals.

Alviti had 24 goals and 15 assists in 16 games with his honors including third team Division II All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine, second team All-Northeast 10 and first team Division II All-New England. He is majoring in finance, with a minor in accountancy.

Witt notched 24 goals and 10 assists in 16 games and garnered a first team All-New England selection. He is majoring in economics-finance.

Eaton, who was selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional, finished the season with a 76.8 stroke average. Last fall, the finance major tied for tenth in the Northeast-10 Championships.

All four will advance to the national ballot for CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America consideration.
