Bentley Places 20 Student-Athletes on Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team

Waltham, Mass. – The Bentley University hockey team saw 20 of its student-athletes from the 2020-21 season earn a place on the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team, the conference announced on Thursday.

The Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team honors those student-athletes who posted a GPA of 3.0 or above for both semesters of the 2020-21 academic year.

Three student-athletes that were seniors last season earned All-Academic honors for the fourth straight time. They are defenseman Charlie Marchand (Calgary, Alberta), forward Brendan Hamblet (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Luke Santerno.

Eight members of last season's junior class notched an All-Academic team selection; goalie Fraser Kirk (Burlington, Ontario), defensemen Ethan Roswell (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) and Luke Orysiuk (Edmonton, Alberta) and forwards Dylan Pitera (Culver, Ind.), Brendan Walkom (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Will Schlagenhauf (Carmel, Ind.), Will Garin (Mound, Minn.) and Jakov Novak.

From the sophomore class, goalie Jason Grande (West Chester, Pa.), defenseman Hunter Toale (Coral Springs, Fla.) and forwards Matt Gosiewski (Wilton, Conn.), Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ontario) and Joe Winkelmann (St. Louis, Mo.) were honored.

Four freshmen marked their first seasons with an All-Academic selection, goalie Nicholas Grabko (Channahon, Ill.), and forwards Cole Kodsi (Boca Raton, Fla.), Ethan Harrison (Plano, Texas) and Devan Tongue.
