Pelino to Continue Career in Finland with Roki Hockey

Waltham, Mass. – Aidan Pelino, a 2020 graduate of Bentley, will continue his hockey career in Finland after he signed with Roki Hockey, the club announced recently.

The team is based in Rovaniemi, which is the capital of Lapland, in northern Finland.

Pelino was a three-year starter in goal for the Falcons, who finished his career 2nd all-time in program history in wins, 2nd in lowest goals against average (2.72) and 3rd in total saves (2403). He started 93 games in his career and finished with over 5,500 minutes played, 3rd most in program history.

As a junior in the 2018-19 season, Pelino was named second team All-Atlantic Hockey after he won 16 games and posted a 2.54 GAA.

He also excelled in the classroom as a finance major, and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team all four years of his career. In January of this year, he was named one of just 20 finalists in Division I men's hockey for the Senior CLASS Award, which recognizes excellence in competition, the classroom and community.

Pelino is the second member of the Bentley hockey team's 2020 class to sign. Defenseman Brett Orr signed with Dundee in the United Kingdom based EIHL.
