Kirk Collects Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week Honors

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley's Fraser Kirk has been named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week after he helped the team to a 3-0 record last week.

Kirk, a sophomore from Burlington, Ontario, had three strong performances in goal as the Falcons defeated Brown and swept Holy Cross last week.

In the 1-0 win over Brown on Nov. 26, he made 16 saves to record his first career shutout in what was his third career start. He then helped lead Bentley to a sweep of a home and home series with Holy Cross, with 21 saves in a 3-2 road win on Friday night and 33 stops in the 4-1 home victory on Saturday. In the game on Saturday, Kirk had a shutout going for 59-plus minutes until Holy Cross scored a power play goal with 12 seconds left.

For the three games combined, Kirk had a .959 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. On the season he has a 4-1 record with a .938 save percentage.

Bentley will put its three game winning streak on the line this weekend when they head to Army West Point for a series that begins on Friday night.
