Jago and Gorowsky Named Bentley Hockey Captains

Waltham, Mass. – Senior defenseman Tanner Jago (Brandon, Manitoba) and junior forward Ryner Gorowsky (Lino Lakes, Minn.) will both wear the C on their jerseys as captains of the Bentley hockey team for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Said head coach Ryan Soderquist in making the announcement, "I am excited to announce that Tanner and Ryner will be our captains for the 2018-19 season. In addition to those two, we have a great upperclassmen leadership group that will help lead our team this year."

Jago, the assistant captain last season, has been one of the top defenseman in Atlantic Hockey over the past three seasons. His 28 points last season (6 goals, 22 assists) was third most among defensemen in the conference, and his 0.80 points per game average was ranked 14th nationally among defensemen. He's also excelled on the power play, with his 20 points on the man-advantage second most in the conference in 2017-18.

He'll enter his senior season with 58 points (10 goals, 48 assists) in 114 games played.

Gorowsky has been one of the team's top forwards in his two seasons. He's racked up 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 59 career games, while also being one of the team's top penalty killers. He was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie team for the 2016-17 season after he notched seven goals and 16 assists.

The Falcons get their season underway four weeks from Friday when they host Merrimack at Bentley Arena.
