Callin & Pelino Claim Atlantic Hockey Weekly Awards

WALTHAM, Mass. – Atlantic Hockey announced on Tuesday that Bentley's Drew Callin (Middleton, Wisc.) has been named its Travel Team USA Player of the Week, and Aidan Pelino (Oakville, Ontario) its Goaltender of the Week.

Callin had the game-winning goal both nights in Bentley's sweep of Robert Morris over the weekend. In Friday's 3-1 victory, he had a power play goal that gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead. The next night, he broke a 3-3 tie with a goal at 10:58 of the 3rd period as Bentley went on to win 6-3. His goal was the second of four unanswered goals for the Falcons in the final period. Callin was also +2 for the weekend and went 23-34 in the face-off circle.

He is the second Bentley player this season to be named Player of the Week, after sophomore Jonathan Desbiens (Montreal, Quebec) on Nov. 7.

Pelino, named Goalie of the Week for the third time in his career, posted stellar numbers for the weekend. He went 2-0 with a .938 save percentage and 2.00 goals against average. He stopped 31 pucks in Friday's game and 30 on Saturday.

In four career starts against RMU, Pelino is 3-0-1 with a .960 save percentage and 1.23 GAA.

Bentley is in action twice this week, both on the road, Tuesday night at UMass Lowell and Friday night at AIC.
