SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore right winger Ryner Gorowsky (Lino Lakes, Minn.) scored the tying goal with 6:24 left in regulation as the Bentley hockey team and AIC played to a 2-2 tie Tuesday night at the Mass Mutual Center.

It was the 2^nd time these two teams have tied in as many weeks, after they drew 3-3 on opening night at the JAR.

Both goaltenders, Bentley's Jayson Argue (Swan River, Manitoba) and AIC's Zack Skog, made 30 saves on the night.

The Yellow Jackets led 2-0 after the opening 9:20 of the first period. Both of the goals came from junior forward Shawn McBride. The first came 3:05 into the period with a shot from in between the face-off circles. The next goal came on the power play, with 31 seconds left on the man-advantage.

A holding penalty on AIC 3:30 into the 2^nd period set the stage for the Falcons' comeback. Just 12 seconds into the power play, junior defenseman Alexey Solovyev (Moscow, Russia) fired in a slap shot from the point to cut the deficit in half. That was Bentley's fourth power play goal of the season in as many games so far.

In the 3^rd period, Argue was at his best. AIC held an 18-11 edge in shots over the final 20 minutes, but the senior netminder stopped them all. That allowed Gorowsky to net the tying goal with 6:24 left on the clock, as he converted a rebound off a shot from defenseman Connor Brassard (Fitchburg, Mass.) that was saved by Skog.

Bentley's penalty kill was pressed into action late in the game, but they came away with successful kills twice to preserve the tie. The first came after a penalty with 3:09 left in regulation, and the second with 1:52 left in overtime.

With the tie, Bentley's record moved to 0-2-2. They'll return home this weekend when they host Mercyhurst for a series beginning Friday night.
