French Garners First Team All-Atlantic Hockey Selection

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight season, Bentley University center Max French (West Kelowna, B.C./West Kelowna) has been named first team All-Atlantic Hockey. The All-Conference teams are voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.

French becomes the 3rd Bentley player to be named first team Atlantic Hockey in consecutive years. He joins Brett Gensler (2012, 2013, 2014) and Steve Weinstein (2014, 2015)

The British Columbia native finished the regular season with 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points, in 33 games, which led the team in both assists and points. In 28 Atlantic Hockey games during the regular season, French registered 27 points on 13 goals and 14 assists, which had him T-5th in both goals and points.

French played a big part in Bentley's first round win over Sacred Heart. He had a hat trick in the 5-2, game two win, and also had the primary assist on Ryner Gorowsky's double overtime winner in game three. Through the first round of the postseason, French is T-3rd in Atlantic Hockey in overall points (39), and T-4th in both goals (17) and assists (22).

Bentley will attempt to punch its ticket to Rochester for the Atlantic Hockey semifinals, when they take on Air Force this weekend in the quarterfinals out in Colorado. The best of three series gets underway Friday night at 9:05 eastern.
