WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University hockey team has released its 2014-15 schedule. The 34-game slate features 28 Atlantic Hockey games and six non-conference contests, including two games at Penn State Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.

Coming off a 19-win season and program best second-place Atlantic Hockey finish in 2013-14, the Falcons get the new season underway on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Quinnipiac of the ECAC in what will be the 53rd all-time meeting between the two programs.

Bentley will get Atlantic Hockey play started the following weekend with a home-and-home series against Sacred Heart. The contest on Saturday, Oct. 18 against the Pioneers will be Bentley's home-opener. Two straight non-conference series on the road follow, starting with a pair of games against Rensselaer of the ECAC at Houston Field House the weekend of Oct. 24. The two teams haven't played since the 2010-11 season.

Following the series against the Engineers, Bentley will take on Penn State on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. The Nittany Lions are entering their third season of Division I hockey and compete in the Big Ten Conference.

The non-conference schedule is rounded out by a game at Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 21 for the third consecutive meeting between the two schools.

Bentley's first full home series of the season is against Niagara the weekend of Nov. 7, part of a four-game home stand that will also see Mercyhurst visit the next weekend. Another four-game home stand in the first half of the season will see both service academies visit Watertown; Army the weekend of Nov. 28 and Air Force the weekend of Dec. 5.

The first meeting of the season against rival Holy Cross comes on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Hart Center in Worcester. That will be the first of four meetings between the Falcons and Crusaders, with the other three set for February. Bentley plays host on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 28 for the regular season finale, and returns to Worcester on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Falcons will visit Canisius in Buffalo, N.Y., the weekend of Jan. 16 for a rematch of last year's Atlantic Hockey quarterfinal series.
