Bentley Returns to Action Monday at Post Invitational

WALTHAM, Mass. – In its final tune-up before the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, the Bentley University golf team will return to action Monday and Tuesday when the Falcons play in the Post University Invitational at the Watertown Golf Club in Watertown, Conn.

The lineup for coach Brian Bain will include seniors Jake Napoli (Plantsville, Conn./Southington HS), Timothy Picard (Dracut/Lowell Catholic HS) and Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS). Junior Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.), sophomore Zach Stewart (Pembroke/Duxbury HS) and freshman Andrew teDuits (Charlestown/Boston College HS) will also compete for the Falcons.

This will be the fourth tournament of the fall for the Falcons and their first in two weeks. Previously, they were third of five in the Hartford Hawks Invitational, fourth of 13 in the Granite State Opener and sixth of 14 in the Penmen Invitational.

Stewart, who was named the NE10 Player of the Week following the Penmen Invitational, has been the team's top golfer thus far with a 72.7 average. In his last four rounds, he's posted scores of 70, 69, 68 and 74.

Picard, who has shot 75 or better during his last six rounds, follows with a 73.3 average and Eaton has a 75.6. Napoli, in his only action thus far, had a 73-78-151 in the Hartford Hawks Invitational.

The conference championships will be played Oct. 16-17 at the Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow.
