Yoder Named Finalist for Northeast-10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year

WALTHAM, Mass. – Former Bentley University golfer and co-captain Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead HS) has been named one of three finalists for the Northeast-10 Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

The other finalists were Southern New Hampshire men's tennis standout Willem van Blezen and Stonehill College football tackle Derek Ivey.

The NE10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced the night of Monday, June 7, on NE10 NOW – the conference's digital streaming platform.

Yoder, who had a 77.1 stroke average this past spring, earned All-Conference recognition during the 2019-20 academic year and was a 2020 CoSIDA Men's At-Large Academic All-America third team honoree. He helped Bentley qualify for the NCAA Division II championships in 2019 and finish in a tie for fourth place in the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic East Regional last month.

Yoder, who had an undergrad GPA of 3.968, has twice earned Academic All-Northeast-10 honors and is a two-time recipient of the NE10's Elite 24 Award.

Yoder, who earned his Bachelor's degree in three years, majored in computer information systems as an undergraduate and earned his Masters of Science degree in digital innovation.
