Yoder Receives Northeast-10 Elite 24 Award for Men’s Golf

WALTHAM, Mass.  – For the second time in three years, Bentley University graduate student Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead HS) has earned the Northeast-10 Conference Elite 24 Award for men's golf.

The award is presented in each conference sport to the student-athlete, competing at the site of the conference championships, who has the highest cumulative grade point average.

Yoder earned his undergraduate degree as a computer information systems major with a sparkling 3.968 GPA. He's currently working on his Masters of Science in digital innovation.

A 2020 CoSIDA Division II Men's At-Large Academic All-America third team selection and a second-year team captain, Yoder has been one of the team's top golfers the last three seasons. This spring, he is tied for second in stroke average with a career-best 75.4 during 11 rounds. He's helped the team to a return visit to the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional, which will be held in North East, Pa. May 6-8.

Yoder, who has improved each year he's been at Bentley, has a career stroke average of 77.5, including 75.6 over the last two seasons.

Yoder's list of previous honors includes 2019-20 Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholar and two-time Academic All-Northeast-10.
