BELLINGHAM, Mass.—Senior co-captain Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and the Bentley University golf team defeated Assumption University by 11 strokes, 297-308, during a dual match Friday afternoon at the New England Country Club.

It was the second win of the short season for both Ethier and the Falcons, who defeated both Assumption and Le Moyne College on the same course a week ago.

Ethier fired a two-under-par 69 with his day including five birdies, two bogeys and one double. In three rounds this spring, he has posted a 74, a 72 and the 69.

Bentley's next two finishers were graduate co-captain Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./ Homestead HS) and junior Ryan Daly (Beverly/Beverly HS). Yoder finished third with a 74 and Yoder was fourth with a 75.

Yoder had a pair of birdies while Daly had a great start. Through 12 holes, he was two under with five birdies.

The Falcons' next competition will be the 36-hole Bentley Invitation on Tuesday at the Sandwich Hollows Golf Club on the cape.
