Bentley Plays Well, but Falls to Southern N.H., 287-295

HUDSON, N.H. – In its first action in 522 days, the Bentley University men's golf played well, but dropped a 587-595 decision to Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday afternoon at the Green Meadow Golf Club.

Three SNHU golfers broke par on the mild and sunny day with Matt Conti leading the Penmen with a four-under 67. He was followed on the leaderboard by teammates Jaren Mscisz and Al Cavotta, who finished with a 69 and 70, respectively.

Four players were within four strokes of par for Bentley, including graduate student and co-captain Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./ Homestead HS). He turned in a one-over 72, which bettered his career-best by one stroke.

Senior captain Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and junior Matt Mackin (Westwood, Mass./ Westwood HS) followed with a three-over 74, and Bentley also counted a four-over 75 turned in by junior Ryan Daly (Beverly, Mass./Beverly HS).

Bentley's next scheduled competition is Friday afternoon against Assumption University and Le Moyne College at the New England Country Club in Bellingham, Mass.
