Yoder Selected as 3rd-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America®

WALTHAM, Mass. – After earning his Bachelor's degree in only three years, Bentley University golfer Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead HS) has been selected for the 2020 CoSIDA Division II Men's At-Large Academic All-America® third team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The men's at-large program for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.

Yoder, a computer information systems major, completed his undergraduate requirements with a sensational 3.96 grade point average and made the President's List all six semesters. This coming year, the Summa Cum Laude graduate plans to pursue his Masters of Science in Digital Innovation.

One of Bentley's co-captains during the COVID-19 abbreviated season, Yoder played in four tournaments during the fall portion of the schedule. He was third on the team in scoring with his 75.75 stroke average a career-best.

Yoder, whose stroke average has improved annually since his arrival on campus, was voted to this year's All-Northeast-10 Conference third team. He was also an Academic All-Northeast-10 honoree last year.

Yoder is the third Bentley golfer to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, following Matt Michel (2012, 2013) and Dan McQueen (2013).
