Oliver Named Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week for the 6th Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – After successfully defending his New England Intercollegiate Golf Association overall title and becoming the tournament's first repeat medalist in over 30 years, Bentley University senior Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) has been named the Northeast-10 Men's Golfer of the Week for the third time this fall and the sixth time in his career.

Oliver fired a 75-67-142 to capture the 81st NEIGA Championship by four strokes and the Division II title by six. His second-round 67 tied the school record and he was the first Falcon in 18 years to play a round five-under.

During the tournament, Oliver fired nine birdies and pared 20 holes. This was the third straight year that Oliver earned Division II All-New England honors.

The tournament win was the fifth of Oliver's collegiate career, extending the Bentley record, and his third this fall. Previously, he captured the Franklin Pierce Division II Fall Invitational, held in Keene, N.H., and the Division II Challenge, played in Quechee, Vt.

Oliver finished the fall campaign with a 73.1 stroke average and shot 75 or better in his last eight rounds.
