Oliver & Kulikowski Recognized by Northeast-10 for 2nd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – After leading Bentley University to the championship of the Franklin Pierce Division II Fall Invitational, senior Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) and freshman Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS) were recognized with major weekly awards by the Northeast-10 Conference.

Oliver was named the NE-10 Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season, and fifth time in his career, and Kulikowski received his second NE-10 Men's Golf Rookie of the Week accolade.

Oliver fired a 74-71-145 to capture the tournament by two strokes. It was his fourth career tournament victory, a new program record. Kulikowski followed in fourth as he turned in a 73-77-150.

Oliver is in the midst of an outstanding fall season with a stroke average of 73.5 and six straight rounds with 74 or better.  Kulikowski is second on the team with a 75.2 with five of his first six collegiate rounds 77 or better.

Also recognized by the conference, with selection to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll, was sophomore Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS). He took third place, edging Kulikowski by one with a 73-76-149.

Bentley will wrap up its fall schedule with the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships Sunday and Monday.  Last year, the Falcons won the Division II title and Oliver was the overall medalist.
