Oliver Claims 4th Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week Award

WALTHAM, Mass.  – For the fourth time in his career, Bentley University senior Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) has been selected as the Men's Golfer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Oliver earned his latest honor after capturing medalist honors during the Division II Challenge that was hosted by Southern New Hampshire at the Quechee Club Highland Course in Quechee, Vt. Tied for first after the opening round, he fired a one-under 71 on Saturday to finish with a one-over 145 and place first by four strokes. He averaged a 4.38 on the par-five holes and totaled seven birdies during the two days.

It was Oliver's third career tournament championship, tying the school record. Last year, he was victorious at the New England Championships and the Joe Plante Collegiate Invitational.

Oliver, who has lowered his stroke average steadily throughout his career, sports a 74.5 through the season's first three tournaments. He entered this season with a 76.6 career norm after finishing his junior year at 75.8.

This coming Sunday and Monday, Oliver and his teammates will be in Endicott, N.Y. for the Northeast-10 Championships.
