KEENE, N.H. – With a two-under 70, Bentley University senior Dan McQueen (Topsfield, Mass./Masconomet Reg. HS) was one of five players to shoot below par during the day one of the season-opening Franklin Pierce Division II Fall Invitational at the Bretwood Country Club North Course Sunday.

Bentley will enter Monday's final round in the middle of the pack of the seven-team tournament after turning in a 301 in its first competition of the new season. Southern New Hampshire sits at the top of the standings following a 293, and both American International (299) and Nyack College (300) are just in front of the Falcons.

McQueen's had the fourth best first-round score with Ian Landry of Franklin Pierce, Camden Lawrence of Nyack and Scott Underhill of Southern New Hampshire tied at the top of the leaderboard following three-under 69s.

Bentley also received solid efforts from sophomore Quincy Coulter (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest HS) and senior Matt Michel (Danvers, Mass./Danvers HS). Coulter had a 74 to tie for ninth, and Michel's 75 put him in a tie for 12th.
