PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Junior Matt Michel (Danvers, Mass./Danvers HS) was the top golfer for Bentley University during the final round of the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational Tuesday at the PGA National Golf Club.

Michel, Bentley's number one golfer for the season with a 75.3 stroke average, followed up on a second-round 82 with a four-over-par 76. He didn't appear in the final individual standings as the result of a first-round disqualification following a scorecard snafu.

For the tournament, senior Richie Powers (Leominster, Mass./Leominster HS) was Bentley's top golfer. He shot a third-round 80 and finished in a tie for 65th at 238 (84-74-80).

As a team, Bentley was 14th among 14 participants with a 54-hole total of 994. The third round was the team's best, with the Falcons posting a total of 324.

Bentley will finish the fall portion of its schedule next Monday and Tuesday when the New England Championships are held at the Captains Golf Course on Cape Cod.
