Leritz Tabbed for NABC Reese’s Division II College All-Star Game

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University graduate forward Matt Leritz (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis University HS) has been selected to play in the NABC – Reese's Division II College All-Star Game, which will be held on Friday, March 24 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Tip-off is set for 7 pm.

Leritz, who earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors for the third time, averaged 13.8 points and 9.1 rebounds while playing 30.7 minutes a game during his only Bentley season. His rebound average was second best in the conference and he was number three in the Northeast-10 in field goal percentage (.558).

Leritz had the two highest rebound games by a Falcon in the last 45 seasons, since Charlie Wootton claimed 20 against Tufts in February 1978. He collected 19 at Southern New Hampshire back in November and had 20 against American International in the regular season finale.

A Division III All-America when he was at Illinois Wesleyan, Leritz received second-team All-Northeast-10 and second-team NABC All-District accolades this year. He was also the Northeast-10 Player of the Week twice.

Leritz, in 116 games as a collegian, amassed 1,424 points, 865 rebounds and 185 assists. His career field goal percentage was .563 and he connected 94 times from deep with a .425 accuracy rate.

Bentley finished the 2022-23 season with a 23-7 record and reached the NCAA Division II East Regional championship game.
