WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University graduate forward Matt Leritz (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis University HS) has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his outstanding performance in two road wins last week for the 14th-ranked team in Division II.

The six-foot-six graduate transfer averaged 22 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one block as Bentley extended its winning streak to 10 with victories at Saint Rose and American International. Leritz had a .667 field goal percentage while making 18 of 27 and was seven of nine at the line.  His week included a Bentley career-high 27 points, including five in OT, and 13 rebounds at Saint Rose and 22 points, on 8 of 10 shooting, and 11 rebounds at AIC.

Among Division II players nationally, Leritz is eighth in defensive rebounds per game, 11th in rebounds per game, 20th in double-doubles and 21st in field goal percentage.

Leritz came to Bentley after a strong career at Illinois Wesleyan where he was a Division III All-America and the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America of the Year.

This is the third time this season a Falcon has received Player of the Week accolades. Previously, Zach Laput was honored twice.

Bentley's next game is at home on Wednesday against the Assumption Greyhounds.
