Lawrence Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University graduate guard Colton Lawrence (Myerstown, Pa./ELCO HS) has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Lawrence helped Northeast Division-leading Bentley to wins over Southern Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire by averaging 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, one steal and one block. He shot 47 percent overall and made 10 of 22 three-pointers.

After scoring 17 against the Owls, he erupted for 32 against the Penmen, including 22 in the second half. In that game, he buried seven three-pointers in 14 attempts.

For the season, Lawrence is averaging 18.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and three trifectas a game. Among conference players, he ranks first in three-point accuracy (.507), third in three-pointers per game, sixth in scoring and ninth in field goal percentage (.542).

With three regular season games left, Bentley is 17-3 overall and 12-3 conference. The Falcons lead the NE10 Northeast Division by two games in the loss column and 2.5 overall.

Bentley returns to action Wednesday with a 7:30 pm game at Assumption University.
