Bentley Places 2 on NABC Honors Court & Earns Team Academic Excellence Award

WALTHAM, Mass. – Recent Bentley University graduate Chris Hudson (Hodgdon, Maine/Williston Northampton), a first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference honoree, was named to the NABC Honors Court for the second straight year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Bentley was also represented on the NABC Honors Court by junior guard Dan Reagan (Avon, Conn./Avon Gunnery School).

Hudson and Reagan were recognized for achieving a grade point average of 3.2 or higher through the 2019-20 academic year.

Coach Jay Lawson's team also received a Team Academic Excellence Award for the sixth time in seven years. The award is presented for compiling a team GPA of least 3.0 for the academic year.

Bentley, which finished at 17-12, was one of five Northeast-10 Conference teams to receive the Team Excellence Award.

Hudson, the Defensive Player of the Year in the Northeast-10, averaged 19 points and 7.4 rebounds while blocking 43 shots and making the same number of steals. He ranked in the top six in the NE10 in a number of categories, including scoring, field goal percentage, steals and blocks. The second-team All-East honoree finished his career 20th in program history in career rebounds (685) and just out of the top 20 in scoring with 1,428 points.

Reagan appeared in a dozen games off the bench and totaled 39 minutes, eight points, five rebounds and five assists.

Hudson majored in finance and Reagan is majoring in corporate finance and accounting.
