Bentley Listed 3rd in Northeast Division in NE10 Preseason Poll

WALTHAM, Mass. – The 2019-20 Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball preseason coaches' poll was announced Wednesday with the Bentley University Falcons listed third in the Northeast Division.

Bentley, whose preseason ranked mirrors the team's finish a year ago, received 62 points and one first-place poll in the voting with the Falcons just head of both Franklin Pierce University and Southern New Hampshire University. Those two tied for fourth with 60 points.

Saint Anselm College, with five firsts and 78 points, finished atop the poll with Stonehill College second with 72.

On the other side of the conference, the University of New Haven collected 13 of 14 first-place votes and a total of 91 points to easily top the Southwest Division voting. Adelphi University and Southern Connecticut State followed with 69 and 61 points, respectively.

The Falcons, who finished 19-10 overall and 12-9 in the NE10 last winter, will open Jay Lawson's 28th season at the helm Nov. 8-9 with the Bentley Tip-Off Classic. They'll play Wilmington College (Del.) ay 7 pm on Friday, Nov. 8 and will take on Concordia College (N.Y.) Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5 pm.
