Crowell, Pearson score first goals of 2023 in 2-0 win at Mercy

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mia Trottie earned her fifth shutout out of the season, and the Falcons scored two first-quarter goals for a 2-0 win at Mercy Saturday afternoon. It is the fifth consecutive win for Bentley.

Trottie turned away seven saves, lowering her Northeast-10 leading goals-against average to 0.70. No other goalie in the NE10 has a GAA under 1.00.

Britney Pearson scored her first goal of the season 90 seconds into the game, with Madison Halas providing the assist.

Emily Crowell added an insurance goal off a penalty stroke in the final minutes of the opening period. It was also Crowell's first goal of 2023.

The Falcons return home to host Southern New Hampshire Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m.
